People who actually lived here

Every review below is from someone who stayed a month or longer. We’ve noted how long, and when — because that detail is what separates a tenancy review from a vacation review.

The house offers plenty of space, and you can really feel how thoughtfully every detail is designed to make guests feel comfortable and at home. We also loved how conveniently close everything was.

The WiFi and workspace made working easy, and the peaceful lake views were the perfect way to unwind. Everything in town was just a short walk away, and the hosts were incredibly kind and responsive.

A note on the “AMU Student” review

An earlier review labelled a guest as an “AMU Student.” Under a thirty-night minimum, that label is ambiguous at best. It has been retired from this site unless the stay can be confirmed as a full semester tenancy, in which case it will be relabelled “Stayed one semester, Fall [year].” We’d rather have two honest reviews than three ambiguous ones.

How we collect these

Around day 20 of every tenancy we ask three quick questions: why the tenant came and how long they stayed, what they worried about beforehand that turned out fine, and one specific detail they’d tell a friend. We show tenants the wording before anything goes up, and nothing here is published without their permission.
